Rain soaks plans at Mason City Motor Speedway
The second night of the inaugural Coors Light Silver Bullet Twin 25s has been postponed due to afternoon rain showers that soaked the Mason City Motor Speedway today.
Officials said that a make-up date for the event, presented by United Beverage, will be looked at for an optimal date for both drivers and fans later this summer or into the fall.
The next event at the Mason City Motor Speedway is Friday, July 8, when the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series invades Northern Iowa for a one-night stand with the Iron Man Series featuring USRA Stock Cars & USRA B-Mods.
Gates open at 5 p.m. next Friday with hot laps at 7 and racing at 7:30.
General admission tickets are $25 in advance or $30 on race day. Juniors ages 11-16 and seniors and older get in for $15 while kids 10 and under are free.
Advance tickets are available by calling (515) 832-6000 or fans may visit Rookies Rockin' Sports Bar located at 307 Main Avenue in Clear Lake until 5 p.m. the day before the show.
