Jerry Hejna Memorial May 24th
MASON CITY, Iowa (May 20, 2026) - The Mason City Motor Speedway will come alive on Sunday, May 24th as racers and fans gather for the annual Jerry Hejna Memorial in Mason City. The special night of racing will honor the life and legacy of Jerry Hejna while bringing together some of the top dirt track talent in the Midwest for an unforgettable evening of action.
Headlining the night will be the United States Modified Touring Series as the nation’s best dirt modified drivers battle for a $3,007 payday to the winner. The powerful modifieds are expected to put on an incredible show as they invade the high-banked oval for one of the marquee events of Memorial Day Weekend.
The Karl Chevrolet Pro Late Model Series will also be in competition, adding another exciting division to an already loaded program. Fans will also get to watch the always-entertaining KS Engineering Ironman Stock Cars & B-Mods battle it out alongside the Busch Light Hobby Stocks and Charlie’s Auto Repair Outlaw Mini Mods.
The Jerry Hejna Memorial has become a special tradition for racers, teams, and fans alike as the racing community comes together to celebrate Jerry’s life and the tremendous support the Hejna family has given to the sport over the years.
